Retreats  in Cornwall 2012


Our 2012 retreats in Cornwall will be held at Calamansac house, near Falmouth, These weekends are an opportunity to step away from the noise and bustle of life to take time for yourself in the peaceful surroundings of Calamansac. Our weekends together will be a time of nurturing and nourishment on all levels of being with gentle yet stimulating Yoga, grounding meditations, cleansing pranayama and home cooked vegetarian food. There will also be ample time to rest and reflect on life’s priorities.

The Spring retreat is held on the weekend 11th-13th  May 2012 and makes good use of the long days and (weather permitting!) will include outside practise, meditation walks and ample time for you to frolic in the bluebell woods or just sit and watch the universe go round, down by the creek side. We explore how Yoga can strengthen our capacity to live in the world with integrity and humanity and we take inventory of our own sense of inner being.

The Winter Retreat, held on the weekend, 2nd-4th November 2012 explores a more inward practise, cultivating the sense of positive withdrawal and a drawing of nourishment from within. Here, we encourage a slower and quieter way of being, recognising the need to retract our interest in the world and attend to inner voices.

 

 



 

All our retreats are based on the ethos that if we rest our minds and senses from their usual distractions, we get a clearer picture of where and who we are in our lives. In the absence of TV, Radio and internet, we tune into a more sensitive awareness of breath, body and movement. The weekend’s space encourages us to trust in our intuitive natures and to listen to the needs of our bodies. We do this by creating time, slowing down, appreciating the world around us and a cultivating a willingness to allow ourselves to be just as we are.

The cost for each weekend is £220, which includes all Yoga, shared accommodation and food. (single rooms with supplement are available). A non-refundable deposit of £100 will secure your place.
